is a calendar where they will indicate the
color they are on for that day and why.
This is also where I will write any notes
  to parents if needed.

 3. We will use good manners saying

Student homework is anything that is not completed during class time. Each child will have a homework folder and they will bring home what they have not completed in class.
If they finish an assignment in class they will
be allowed to turn it in. All homework is due
by 8:00am the following morning.

Accelerated Reader

Your child will have a certain point goal to meet each nine weeks. Each goal
is based on the individual’s reading ability as set by Reading Renaissance.
When your child completes an accelerated reader book, he/she will take the computerized comprehension test.  This test allows me to assess the silent sustained independent reading of your child.  There will be rewards each
time the goal is met.

In the classroom each child is recognized as they reach increments of 5 points.  As we progress through third grade, more focus will be put on your child being able to keep up an average % of 85 or higher on their total AR
tests for the nine week period.  It is very important that they are prepared
for their AR test and know what they read about.
